Good luck to everyone heading out to chase the "gray ghost" this weekend. We (6 tagholders) will be hitting it hard down in Unit 30 for the next five days starting Saturday morning. Was down in Unit 30 for opening weekend helping some buddies with tags and both took nice bucks on opening weekend. We saw two real bruisers but werent able to seal the deal. Hopefully, we can get back on them. Good luck and be safe out there!

That's because there isnt! The nickname "grey ghost" was first used by the Indians to describe the mule deer of the sagebrush flats in the West. It then became common to use this term to describe the small whitetail subspecies, Coues deer. Call them what you want, but we will be chasing muleys.
