Help on spotting scope

I am considering buying a spotting scope, and I am very igernant on the subject. More important to me than the brand to buy, is information on the power needed to get the job done adequatly. For example,is a more powerful scope going to give my old eyes problems with wobble, etc. I am looking to use it at the bench and elk hunting.
If anyone can educate me on the subject, I will appreciate it.

Lefty,
Do a search on "spotting scope" and see what comes up. There is a lot of good info in some of the old threads. Read some of the old stuff and then ask any specific questions you have. The guys around here know their glass and are very willing to help.
