Help with ID

Hello Idaho~

My uncle and I would like to come to your beautiful state this year and hunt elk! My wifes grandparents own a ranch in Bonners Ferry and say they have elk around there, but they are in their 90's and who knows!

Please PM me with any info that might help! We have a ranch in Joseph oregon we could maybe do some trading with if anyone has a ranch there in ID...We got a 9X8 non-typ last year and a bunch of 150-175 class whiteys and mule deer. Or just swap info would be great!!!

September rifle. Question: I heard you can hunt the rut in ID with rifle, is this correct???

LAST EDITED ON Jun-24-09 AT 04:41PM (MST)[p]Very few hunts for elk during the rut. Mostly wilderness hunts at that, unless you draw one in the controlled hunts. No elk rut hunts in N. Idaho at all that I know of.
