High Country Sleeping Bag Recomendations

I have wore out my 20 deg down bag and have been looking at new bags. I want a bag for backpack hunting in the high country during the rifle seasons in late September and October (Sawtooths,Rubys, High Sierras, etc.) What is a good temperature rating to get? Is a 20 deg bag enough?

So far I like the Slick Bag for synthetic and the Feathered Friend or Marmot for down. I'm still on the fence between synthetic and down.

20 would be perfect if there is a minus in front of it. I hate being cold when I'm trying to sleep. I'm no expert though.

My vote is Big Agnes Mystic 15 orPomer Hoit 0 with the pad of your choice. I like the Insulated-Dual core.

I love my MontBell. I have the U.L. hugger#1 its a 15deg down bag that is water "proof" for up to 100 washes.

Thanks for the feedback

I went with the 0 deg Slick bag, its about the same weight as a comparable down bag.....I feel better about packing into the Rubys at the end of Oct with this bag.
