LAST EDITED ON Sep-03-09 AT 11:56PM (MST)[p]Here's a buck we took last week up in the high country of Colorado. After a pretty tough 3-hour hike loaded with 8o lbs of gear, we got to our base camp. Opening morning we sat in a deer bed/blind in a mountain-pass I had scouted last year. After some near misses, this buck came through the pass and I gave my buddy Cody the range....65 yards. He made a great shot and smoked this sweet 24" 3x4. We tracked him till dark and then had to pull back. Overnight the bears got to the buck, but luckily his head, cape and horns were okay. Congrats to my friend Cody who made a great shot at 11,500 feet to take this great buck!!!
