Highway 296

Is highway 296 open year around to the junction with highway 212? Just don't want to get jammed up when I'm deer hunting in there in late October.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-04-11 AT 04:31PM (MST)[p]On my state map it has a small notation that says,"US 212 (Cooke City-Beartooth Pass) closed during winter". So I would imagine that if it is snowing alot that they will close it since no dates are on my map.

Yes it is open year round.
