Home Security System

I am looking to get a different home security system, currently have ADT. Reading reviews they all kinda suck. Thinking simplisafe.

Anyone have one that is simple, works and they like?

Many years ago I had a company (Advanced Security, I don't know how big they are) install contact switches on all the windows and exterior doors, plus motion sensors in my house. I'm not connected to a central station, so there is no monthly fee. It's stand lone. It's battery backup so it works even if the power goes out. It's worked flawlessly all these years. At least 20 years. I paid close to $1100 to have it all installed.

Just putting the signs on your property is a big deterrent to would be intruders.

I am going to say simplisafe. The new version is just about as good as you can get. Easy to set up and you get to choose what you want to sensor. Aside from hiring a security detail I believe it is the way to go. An added plus is you can decide when you want the system monitored. Like when you go away on a hunting trip or vacation. No contract.
