Well Oregon's western blacktail season closed today, and I decided to go try my usual honey hole on the Calf Oregon boarder on the Oregon side they locked it up and made it a monument 5 years ago, I thought for sure I would find the kind of bucks we used to see in there, all I saw was other hunters.
I gave up guiding back in 2001 because I couldn't see myself being part of the deer decline in our area, it just keeps getting worse, I saw two does today all day walking and glassing in the rain, climbing up as high as my knee would let me.
All I gotta say is 10 years ago I quit buying a fishing license cause fishing just isn't what it used to be, so I've not bought a fishing license since, I think I'm gonna do the same with these blacktails here in S-oregon man I wanna say the deer are at a all time low down by at least 70%, I seen more cat tracks this year then ever.
I think the truth hurts there's to many cats and fish and game keep selling to many tags?
