Averages for Conservation Permits over the past few years
is about 2.7 mill ( from the DWR site )

Mirror the Sportsman's tag system with one statewide auction permit per species. Conducted by the Division.

Allocate the 5% that used to be Conservation Permits
to the Convention Permit System. No bonus points
or waiting periods. Apply for all species the hunter wishes
at $10.00 per pop. Conducted by the Division online or at a license agent.

Add a voluntary Project stamp pinpointed to a specific project. If guzzlers for deer and elk are important to you buy a guzzler stamp. If Phrag on the WMA's is important buy a phrag stamp and so on.

Whadda ya think?

"The future is large scale auction tags.
The majority of the tags should go up
for auction anually. It MIGHT even be
good to allow second sales of auction
tags as in outfitters purchasing tags
and then re-selling them to the public."

Sounds better than the expo. If the non residents get a crack at non resident only expo tags keep them out of the resident draw plain and simple. Also did anyone else notice they withholded the units with non resident tags this year?
