How Hot and Dry is it in S.W. Colorado?

IN less than 50 days our group of older hunters will be in unit 61 Colorado hunting cow elk. Last year was disappointing to our group as it was so hot and dry. Will this season be similar weather speaking? I know that it is dry in this unit at present. Do any of you think that some summer rainfall is possible? Any current reports possible? Thank you. cowtag your best bet is to locate a town that is close to your hunting area in Colorado and go to a weather forecast web site and do a 10 day forecast check for weather for that town. Do that every 10 days prior to your hunt.

It is much worse than last year. The monsoon rains have barely made it up on the Unc so far.

We?ve had .00001? so far out of the monsoons in Palisade. I was riding the bike park at Crested Butte last week and got poured on and rained out. Climbing Uncompahgre Peak the day before I barely got to summit before the heavens opened up. The nature of thunder storms I guess. Bring em on!
