Hunt Expo Apps/License

So do you have to physically have your hunting license when applying at the Expo? I applied for Utah and purchased my license several days ago but I don't know if i will have the actual license by the time we leave. Will they be able to verify that you have purchased a tag if they do not mail them out in time?

LAST EDITED ON Jan-30-08 AT 02:26PM (MST)[p]If you draw a tag then the DWR researches your name and checks for the license before you are allowed to pick up a license. All you get from the expo will be a chit/voucher that you take to DWR and get your permit from them.

The DWR has to run a background check on you to see if you are on the 21 state compact for game violations and such.

Good...I just read that you must have a valid license before validating which i have paid for, i just have not received the physical copy yet. Thanks.

You need the license to validate. I would have the number handy just in case, but I'm sure their computer will be able to find it.
