Hunting Boots - Time to Buy Some New Ones

LAST EDITED ON Mar-31-07 AT 06:30PM (MST)[p]My old pair of hunting boots are torched and I'm in the market for some new ones. I have wide feet and I'm very picky on boots. My plan is to hit the stores and try some different stuff on for feel/fit, but I would like to narrow it down first.

My pickiness: Goretex, 7-10" high, 100-400 thinsulate, resonable weight, agressive trend and very comfy footbed.

Any suggestions where to start? I'm leaning towards some of the Meindl's.

i have a pair of meindl perfekt hunters and they are very comfortable and have held up very well over the past two hunting seasons.

Meindl's Denali for me, been a very comfortable boot right out of the box, have had them for 7 years now. Got them through Cabela's.

How about one more vote for the Meindls - Perfect Hunter for me, I think the Denal might be good option also.
