50/50 Scotch & honey. Here's how you do it. Pour 2 or 3 onces of honey into a really small sauce pan and heat it up to a lite boil, then add the same amount of scotch. Heat it fairly quickly so that you don't cook all of the good stuff out of the scotch. Pour into an insulated coffee mug and enjoy. It kinda tastes a little like Yukon Jack.
A friend of mine introduced me to that drink at my elk camp last week. It was cold and snowy. Boy that drink will warm you right up. He claims that scottish hunters came up with that drink.

Crown shots, beer chaser, til the Crown runs out then to bed, that's only after a successful hunt and a liver and onion dinner. Then sleep in next am til the bladder gets you up.
My other favorite for after the game is down and it's time for a couple days of relaxing in camp is what we call breakfast burritos. It's coors light with spicy v-8 mixed in with it. MMMMMMMMMMM
whiskey
Yukon Jack shots used to be the hunting camp drink but the new generation likes Crown. I personally agree with the spicey red beers, could be snappy tom and beer or spicey V-8, or even clamato with a dash of Cholula or just plain beer. It's when I get to celebrate unsupervised!
Hey Whiskey, I thought you didn't like the the burrito's, i thought they gave you the squirts!! especially not at 630 in the morning.
Now the Velvet touch with some DC is the best way to go!!
Can't remember what this drink is called but its friggen delicious.
14 ounces sweetened condensed milk.
1/4 cup non dairy creamer.
3 eggs.
1 drop vanilla extract.
1 1/2 tablespoons chocolate syrup.
1 cup whiskey.
refridgerate and serve.
In our chukar camp we have learned the way of the old timers that taught us to hunt. They drink a delicious(and very potent) Basque drink called a pecan punch. a couple of those after hiking all day and you will forget you are sleeping in the bed of a truck with no pad. Deer camp is always ice cold bud lights and a nice IPA for after the kill.
2oz Torani Amer or Amer Boudreau(if you can find it)
1tsp grenadine
soda water
lemon peel
1/2 to 1oz of your favorite brandy
we like to mix it all up and then just float the brandy right on top. Its delicious and a good way to tie of the day and get some sleep. Hope you enjoy it.
