Hunting Missoula MT please HELP

I am moving to Missoula MT and I am looking to see how the hunting is out there. Is it worth my time to try and hunt? what is the hunting like out there? Is there any trophy or good size mule deer or deer in general in this area that are accessable on publis land.

Montana in general doesn't have much to offer in the way of hunting, I would recommend you take up hemp weaving and crocheting ski caps instead of hunting in Missoula.

Your post is begging for Smart A... responses, but I will be kind and tell you Montana is a very game rich state with much to offer. The big sky country is not noted for huge mule deer, but there are some, and pretty much every other animal that can be hunted in the west, including nice whitetails.

I took my biggest Muley from an area less than 60 miles from Missoula..... Terry

Not as good as around Missoula. Cougar hunting in Missoula is really good I have heard
