Included in the December RAC packets are the new hunting proposals that the management of the Division of Parks and Recreation are recommending to their Board. (The Wildlife Board has already approved the changes they need to make on this issue.) The info is on pages 12 to 16 of the packet. Please discuss ONLY the State Park hunting changes on this thread. There's another thread for the other stuff in the packet.

It's a good move, IMO.

Opps! I'm sorry, but I made a mistake saying the DWR/Wildlife Board have already made the changes they need to make. In fact, they will have to make the changes in every game category they are responsible for, thus the Big Game changes in the upcoming meeting, the Cougar and Bear changes in the January meeting, and next year, the Waterfowl, Upland Game and Furbearer changes. Additionally, the Division of Parks and Recreation Board haven't approved them yet either!
In other words, DON'T START HUNTING STATE PARKS UNDER THE NEW RULES YET! Wait until the new Proclamations come out or until the DWR announces otherwise. As for coyotes, racoons, non-game rodents, I don't know.

Right! And when you go to court, you can blame it on me or even the DWR since they are the ones who included the info in their meeting packets before it was ever ok'd. :)
