LAST EDITED ON Jun-12-11 AT 01:30PM (MST)[p]Hey guys,
Things have been slow lately and I thought I share some of my hunts and experiences from the past in a few posts here. Take in mind im currently 19 years old as I present this too you, but in those short 19 years I have seen much and I think you guys will enjoy this.

This is the deer that started it all for me. I know hes not much but he was a start. I was able to take this buck in Eastern Colorado when I was 12 on my God parents farm. I shot him with my fathers Rem. model 700 classic in a 25-06

Later that December I was able to score on my first cow elk as was my good friend from school. These cows were from the same herd and I once again used dads 25-06.

The follwing season proved successful for me as I was able harvest a small mule deer buck as well as cow elk, along with accompany dad on his 3rd season unit 21 hunt.

The follwing year brought on another cow elk, my cousins first elk and dad drawing a coveted NW corner elk tag. I spent nearly every weekend out scouting with dad and learning the country and learning from dad also on hunting trophy bull elk.

The next season my younger brother became of age to hunt and was able take his first cow elk. I was also able to fill a few tags that year.

Way to go Coloradoboy. Nothing like having family and friends to share those outdoor memories. Keep making more of those great memories. You're definitely on your way.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-12-11 AT 01:50PM (MST)[p]I was able to take my first archery elk in the 08 season (cow) and being the typical 16 year old kid I was I forgot to take a camera and field photos werent acquired. None the less it was a learning experience for me and my friends. As we all experienced out first wilderness bowhunt together. Of the 3 of us we took two elk on the opening day of archery season. My cow and my buddies small and I mean small 4 point bull, whose skull cap broke during the pack out. Note the date on the camera is off.

09 proved to be an eventful one for me as I was able to harvest my first bull with a bow along with a so-so buck and a cow with my rifle.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-12-11 AT 03:23PM (MST)[p]2010 was a banner year for myself, family and friends. I was able to score on two bulls scoring over the 300 inch mark in both Wyoming and Colorado. My little bro was able to connect on an exceptional OTC public land bull and my dad and myself were able to help may others punch their tags in NW Colorado.

Good deal Coloradoboy. You are well on your way. Since I'm 62, I will say never forget how your father brought you up. You both have a lot to be proud of. Thanks for the photos and the history. Keep it going.

Good to see a young guy that is really into it. Hunting is about memories and you've already made a bunch of them.

Thanks for sharing.

Those are way more than great photos.
Family experiences that will last generations.
To my way of thinking, few things can bond family like those times shared in the outdoors.
The harsh difficulties overcome as a team and the glorious feelings of success.
Those memories will warm your heart and those of your family forever.
Good on you guys, that's exactly what we live for.
Thanks for taking us along.

Keep on hunt'n coloradoboy!! It is clear you have been making some wonderful memories and are on your way to have quite the record of harvesting some nice animals. You have done a wonderful job so far and still have many more years ahead of ya! Good job!

Ditto what HH said. Way to go and keep up the great work. You might need to change your MM name to COwhackandstack if you keep doing so well.

Thanks for sharing.

Cool photos. I like the old 300 honda too. I have a 1994 model that has a million miles on it,-- mostly legal miles ;) --.

Thanks guys! I've been a pretty fortunate kid and young man so far. And elkantler.. that fourwheeler is bomb proof! hauled out more elk and deer and been jumped and rallied by crazy teenagers more times than i can count.
