Hi, i see your post here saying that i was wrong. You seem to believe that maybe i'm not for turning in guys that poach. In fact, i do believe that it is our duty as sportsmen to assist in any way we can to stop poaching and to report any actual violation we witness to the authorities as soon as we reasonably can.
A post above the one you made to me, i thanked ALL those who helped bring these guys to justice. I teach our local Hunters Ed classes. I preach working with the authorities to help stop poaching. We don't have enough Wardens in this area to go around so they depend on us hunters in the field to help them do their jobs.
So, i think that you are barking up the wrong tree when you think i am "wrong" in that regard.
What i was against, was over 200 posts about the why, where, who, when, the killing of this buck occurred, by then nobody knew more info than when the topic began and there was no proof about anything. One guy mentioned was being drug through the dirt and was supposed to be arrested "imminently", talk of where he worked,.. yet i kept wondering to myself, where is the proof? Not saying one way or another, but there existed the possibility that this guy, or others, could be slandered here unfairly if some of the accusations were untrue or maybe a case of sour grapes.
So, i called for the law to handle it when the results were going nowhere. It appears that that is exactly what happened. Those with info that help Law Enforcement in this case, my thanks, good job. That includes those here and those that were involved in that past thread.
I still don't believe that a open Forum is the place to start accusing guys without the facts. If you know something, absolutely report it and let the law handle it, don't drag them through the dirt UNTIL they are proven guilty. After that, they pissed their own bed, let them sleep in it
AGAIN, Thanks to all those who helped bring these guys to justice.
edit, i'd also like to Thank, all those around here, not running around with a chip on their shoulder, trying to poke me with a sharp stick!
