Hypothetical Question while we wait...

How would this work:

I apply for a Barbary tag, BBY-1-101. That tag is good for units 29, 30 from Feb 1 - 28 but also for any OTC areas in the state from Apr 1 - Mar 31. So lets say on Apr 1st I want to hunt the OTC area so I buy an OTC tag before the drawn has taken place.

Question is, when the draw is processed will I automatically be rejected because I have a tag for that species already? Or will I be awarded the tag if a draw and now I have 2 Barbary tags but can only harvest one sheep per law?

Don't know for sure but I thought about the same thing as I assumed that buying an OTC would take you out of the running for drawing a tag in a primo area. Not sure though.

Things may have changed, but I asked G&F about that couple of years ago and was told it would toss you out of draw for already holding a license.

I asked them to address it, similar to OTC ibex tags, where you can have one, but still draw. Knowing how things work I doubt it's been addressed yet.
