Idaho 52 Elk

Hi all. Been a long time lurker and finally decided to join. Well anyways, I drew the 52 August Bull hunt in Idaho (I'm an Idaho Native don't worry) and was wondering what you're thoughts were on it. My plan is to head out there early July and then middle of July to scout and get a feel for the land. I have never hunted bulls in August, so this will be new to me.

Any tips, pointers, info?

Water and find where they are crossing from the public ground into the ag fields. There are so many two tracks and dirt roads out there it is wise to have a GPS. Also glass a ton. Not a tree out there all sagebrush. I would try to get out more than twice get out as much as you can.

Yeah I always carry OnX and a Garmin InReach wherever I go. Cool thank you !

I drew the tag last year and had a great hunt. I passed on a lot of nice bulls before shooting a 330 class bull. I have tons of info to share but its non resident info. Do you still want it?
