It was a female. Even at 5 feet from it in the rocks I thought it was a tom as did the houndsman. It wasn't until we were field dressing it did we realize it was a female. She was missing several teeth and her front teeth were all messed up. Her stomach was empty. Maybe we did her a favor? The warden who checked her in for me said she was the biggest female he has ever checked. Alls I know is that it was a very exciting hunt and I can't wait to re-live it each time I look at the mount on my wall, should have it back in 2 months from the taxidermist.
