Idaho OTC Unit 57 Archery

I have purchased a non resident archery tag for Unit 57 in Idaho. I am curious if anyone can give some guidance regarding a good central place to camp where I can day hunt out of or pack in for a day or 2 from. Also, what size of bucks I can expect to see?

That unit is full of big deer, be choosy!! And if you happen to see some residents don’t hesitate to ask for help they love Utahns!!!

I bet.... I always try to help people out when they ask me about hunting tips, so maybe that will give me some good karma. I am orignally from Wyoming...so maybe that helps. Haha. Thanks for the info!

Black pine, kelsaw, pole, and sweetzer canyon are all pretty places to set up camp. Or you can find plenty of places down lower in the junipers. 57 isn’t what it once was, but good luck and enjoy your hunt!
