I know you didn't ask me but I wanted to reply.
As you likely know.
The legislature and aforementioned boys club controls what idf&g is legally mandated to do currently they are being turned into a tool to limit big game numbers instead of a wildlife management agency. (See bill to limit search and seizure of wildlife crime.) Its in link.
The legislature has had an obvious vendetta against idf&g since they refused to implement auction tags and a point system. They had attacked funding for a few years. They are trying to structure the commission to be easily influenced by the legislature and shifting policies of who idf&g is working for.
These are just my opinions/observations.
