We just finished a fantastic weekend of chasing ditch parrots in Idaho with my kids. I'm a proud and pleased poppa! It was such a fun hunt with lots of birds, lots of shots, and even a few ringers in the bag. Those kids-o's logged a lot of miles with great attitudes. They never complained and just kept walking and walking. Above all they were safe, calculated, and deliberate with their weapons. I LOVED the experience and am grateful for the quality time spent, lessons learned, and memories made that only happen in the hunting woods between a father/parent/mentor and a youngster. They need it, crave it, and cherish it!! I've taken them many times on my hunts but this was my first youth hunt and I have to say thanks for the opportunities that Idaho and all the states offer our young hunters. Also a huge thank you to the gratuitous landowner that allowed us to hunt his prime ground.
