Dear SCI Members in Utah,

We have been alerted to a new comment period regarding two land management areas in Utah (see below). Sportsmen and women are encouraged to make their views known about hunting and access. The antis have done a very good job at the local level and the federal government has been encouraging sportsmen to get involved for years. Your voices are truly heard at the local level and we encourage you to find time to send in a comment. Comment Period on Supplemental to Vernal Draft Resource Management Plan/Final Environmental Impact Statement Closing
Soon.

The Supplement to the Vernal Draft RMP provides information on existing and proposed Areas of Critical Environmental Concern
(ACEC). There are currently 7 designated ACECs totaling 165,944 acres. In addition to the 7 existing ACECs, the supplemental
also analyzes the management of 6 proposed ACECs totaling 515,366 acres.
