WASHINGTON (AP) ? The Trump administration moved Tuesday to officially ban bump stocks, which allow semi-automatic weapons to fire rapidly like automatic firearms, and has made them illegal to possess beginning in late March.

The devices will be banned under a federal law that prohibits machine guns, according to a senior Justice Department official.

In the aftermath of the Las Vegas shooting, there was a growing push by some members of Congress to ban bump stocks, but no legislation was passed. The NRA was against it before it was for it but they didn't want any legislation about it because they were waiting for Trump to decide but they don't believe there should be any control. Except now bump stocks are okay to be controlled but no magazine capacity. That makes perfect sense as long are you are an NRA parrot and Trump lover.

I'm really surprised Trump had the balls to do anything more than ban sales. to make them illegal to own is going beyond even the anti's hopes.

I love it! I wish it could have gone farther and got rid of the AK and SKS. The gun haters would eat it up and the gun culture could get rid of some trash.

Nemont is right, people forget their values easily and it's fun to watch. When Bernie Sanders was running, he defended the gun and ammo manufacturers and there was no outrage. Now the same people that supported him are crowing about Smith and Wesson and how they need to spend millions to fund gun violence research and organizing protests against them.
 
It's a stupid gimmick, and its even dumber to outlaw and confiscate em. Everybody knows if you wanted the real deal it ain't hard to do it. Usually when Obama pulled some shenanigans like this it was so you would focus on his right hand and ignore what he was doin with his left. Now I'll ask again, how many people have bump stocks killed since bump stocks came into existence? Hell most people never heard of em or knew what they were till the Vegas shooting. It's a dumbass move on Trumps part IMO. It will accomplish nothing other than twitterpating the likes of you and Lennie. Aside from continuing to run up the debt could be Trumps dumbest move yet, but theres a helluva lotta empty pasture between the two!
