Installing Kenton Industries Turret on Leupold

I just received my custom turret from kenton industries and have a question. My scope is a Leupold VXIII 4.5-14 and is only 2 years old. The adjustment knob has a plastic cap with gold lettering on it that supposedly covers the coin slot. Has anyone removed this to install a custom turret? If so what is the best way to remove the factory adjustment knob?

For a quick answer, i'd call Kenton Industries and ask to speak to a service tech to walk-talk you through the changeout.
