i am not much of a politician, and i am sure that i don't know the half of what is going on over in iraq. but anyway i am going to voice my opinion on this one. i have been trying to ignore this subject completely but i just don't think i can do it anymore. And I'll bet you most of our men and women fighting over there feel the same way. They feel like they're fighting for a righteous cause: to make this country safe, and to free an entire people from oppression. I doubt they would feel the same if they were fighting for world domination, and to wipe and entire civilization off the face of the planet. I'm sure they would be pretty pissed-off to find out that they were risking their lives, and other's had lost there's, just so we could save a few bucks at the gas pump. That's just not what this country's about.

You mean, Nick Berg. Some curious coincidences with Mr. Berg concerning the use of his computer, computer name & password by the alleged "12th 9/11 hijacker" that is sitting in jail at this time. Why was Mr. Berg in Iraq, wandering the countryside with a passport with an Israeli stamp and "anti-semetic materials" on his person? Why, when reportedly offered safe passage out of Iraq via a military plane with FBI escort, did he decline the offer?

My heart goes out to his family, and the scenes of his devastated Dad collapsing on the lawn are gut wrenching to see. I couldn't imagine anything like that happening to my son. Horrible. That being said, is it in anyone's best interest to say, "My son died because of the sins of George Bush & Donald Rumsfeld."

My mind tells me there's more to this story than has been reported to this point.

Creating a void of humanity within the borders of Iraq is not the answer, as much as it seems some would like to think it is so. The whole country of Iraq does not deserve punishment because they resemble what we think of as terrorists.

Sorting the terrorists and radicals out of a crowd of bearded men with B.O wearing towels on their heads isn't simple. It could be tougher than finding a 30? muley.

Our job is a whole lot tougher. Now that Saddam is in the brig, our job is to establish a stable government in Iraq. One that we can resume relations with and will value the US as an ally and not treat as an enemy. One that won't tolerate groups within that would damage that relationship and will police them before we have to go back and waste more lives. George Jr. is doing what George Sr. did not do, and I support him for it.

Forget the media and their BS. Use your head.

you da man!! to tell you the truth, i do feel sorry for those few innocent men, women, and espically children living in this rat infested dump that they unfortunately call home. however, casualties of war is not always an exact science. meaning, when we dropped the big one on hiroshima, did it only search and destroy the "bad guys". i think not. i feel as if iraq is a lost cause, we have given them enough time to deal with there own #####. and know it is time to do something about it. i have a buddy that just returned from the middle east three weeks ago. i remember only 7 years ago while we were in high school, he was against war, hated the sight of human blood, and then we graduated and he was excepted to west point military academy where he went on to serve as a officer in the war in the middle east. i was talking to him on the phone the other day and you wouldn't believe the 180 degree change he has done. long story short, he has been there, and he has seen the terrors of war, and i agree with him. we have farted around enough! if we are going to continue to fight this war, lets do it right. i have two words(NUKE EM') for all of you bashing donald rumsfeld and your president G-dub, shame on you! i swear, if you are not bitching about one thing you are bitching about another. i say even if Mr Rumsfeld knew about the prisoner abuse, more power to him, beat them rag heads senseless and bring our boys home. Firsts of all, we have all of the oil that we could ever use here in the US, it's the Al Gore liberals that are keeping us from drilling for it. Secondly, we are the good guys here. 9-11 showed us pure evil and some of you are suggesting that we do the exact same thing, kill 'em all because we hate them. We are above that.
