Jackson Elk Refuge

This might seem like a stupid question, but i recently flew out of the Jackson airport (I live in eastern Idaho) back east to visit the family for Christmas. Driving past the refuge I couldnt resist and had to pull over and glass over the herd out in the refuge. Man there were some absolute giant bulls in there! My question is do all of those bulls migrate down off the hill or do some of them live in the refuge all year? Just curious, thanks for your time...

They all migrate to the refuge. Some from surrounding National Forests and many from Grand Teton & Yellowstone National Parks.

My wife and I was there a few years ago the first week of October and watched a herd of 200 or more come to the refuge from the north.We sat and video taped them cross the road.
I have thought of moving there at times.
Going there this summer for a month to fish and take some pictures.I love the area.
