Was at the Refuge on 2-15-11. There was about 7,500 elk there. Took the horse drawn sleigh ride out into the Refuge. They were feeding ten pounds of alfalfa pellets per animal per day. Elk looked pretty good but a few had scabies. Saw a lot of 6 X 6 270 to 310 class bulls. There was supposed to be a 380 bull there but I didn't see it. There was supposed to be five cows per each bull.
