Why is that people believe their dogs need to be off leash. Here locally there was a dog off leash that was killed in a legally set trap. When I suggest that dogs be on leash they get all bent out of shape. Like I am crazy for arguing that a dog on leash is safer

We found several dead deer last year and two this year at the football field complex at Lassen Union High School in Susanville. Most if not all were killed by dogs. Actually watched a couple run a fawn into a fence where it broke its neck. Total waste. Infuriates me when I see dogs run loose or are with their owners at public places where there are signs posted leash laws and they could care less. Everybody should love their dog because they do.
