LAST EDITED ON Feb-02-19 AT 09:07AM (MST)[p]Is would recommend a drop off camp via float plane. A lot more options and the various flight services work together to not stack hunters on top of each other.

You can save some serious $$$ being dropped off. There?s a lot of unexpected costs associated with hunting AK. The prices of the lodge seems a little speedy. I think even renting gear you could do the trip from for a couple thousand each. Not counting flights up to Alaska and tags.

Looks like I dodged a bullet with
KODIAK ADVENTURES lodge !!
Asked for references and cancelation policy in an email.
The response was. "I'm not a good fit for them"

I have hunted Kodiak Island a lot, the best way I have found t hunt it is from a fishing boat made into a hunting camp. I like the fact that you can move anywhere you want and come back to a dry cabin.
