Living in Las Vegas this summer. Want to go scouting high peaks... Drove Around Mt.Charleston. Curious to know hunting rules and regulations. Is it an archery area only? Is there deer regardless of hunting or not. I am itching to do some hiking and scouting. It looks good for habitat and is plenty high in elevation.

Not looking for honey hole... just want to know if there are deer or animals on it. My guess would be yes.

I saw cabin with several antlers mounted on garage.

I am willing to do some early morning hiking... I normally scout and hike the wasatch front and this year I am in LV.

Appreciate your input or knowledge without disclosing your locations.

Thanks

If you want to see elk go to the prison off 93 going towards Tonapah. Very limited tags. Yes there is deer but not like other areas.

Go north of Indian Springs (the prison)by about 10-15 miles find a dirt road that heads west, get off the road 1-3 miles and look around. There are some decent deer and elk in that area. And the way you hike, you should be abe to see something.
