Hey, I've never hunted this late in the year on this unit. Anyone willing to share a little info on the best place to start looking for a cow Friday morning? Thanks.

Did you find one yet???....try Pomeroy Basin above Kemmerrer...we've got lots of snow and its pushed the Elk way down...

Try out by Slate Creek. Take the Horse Trap Unit road. Another place to look is the road heading West directly across from the campground/boat launch of Fontenelle Res. on Hwy 189. Lots of ranches on the creek, but the elk are out in the sage this time of year.
