Learned somthing about Applying in MT

I am hunting mule deer with an outfitter in MT next year, so I applied for a MT guided tag for deer, no problem drew the tag. The problem is I did not want the guided elk tag as well because I am not hunting elk with the outfitter, but I wanted to hunt elk on my own.

So I applied for the general draw for elk, they accepted my application and money, bud rejected it from the draw and no bonus point beacuse you cannot apply for deer in the outfitter draw and elk in regualar draw or vise versa.

So if you go on a guided hunt in MT and are not hunting both species with the outfiiter you can't even apply for the other species to hunt on your own.

What a stupid rule!!
