Just want to give a quick plug to the awesome service I received from Leica this past week. Got back from a trip to Nevada, where I banged up my rangefinder pretty good. Its was a 1200 CRF bought from cameraland a few years back. anyways I sent it off on a friday for repairs (CA to NJ). I was expecting to pay some $$ for the repair, which I was more than happy to do. The very next friday UPS left a delivery notice from Leica. WTF? How did they send it back so fast without notifying me of anything? I figured it may be beyond repair or something. Well got the package today, brand new in the box CRF 1200.
Basically going way above and beyond what I was expecting.
1. replacing the entire product free of charge
2. doing it basically within one business day
I think its going to be a much easier decision now between those swaros and the geovids! (even though I've received nothing but great service from swarovski as well)
