Leica spotter Question

I do not know much about spotting glass. I curantly have Pentax 10x42 binos, and zeiss scopes. I am looking at the Leica 62 spotter. Question is what is APO glass? Is it worth extra money? I will be using the spotter for backpack elk and deer hunting. Any info would be great. Thanks Dave

Just received a Fall Catalog from Cabela's today and noticed that Leica 900 Range Finder has been increased to $499.95 it was $479.95 two months ago. A year ago it was only $399.95 talk about supply and demand^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

the difference in the APO is that is has flouride that projects a more crisp image and doesn't alter the color.

The APO is the equivelent to the swaros HD scope. Supposed to keep color contrast better than a regular scopes. I just purchased the televid 77 in APO and love it. I liked it better than the swaros but it is all about what your eye likes best. Take em both out right at sundown and try them out.
