Lenses Question

I have an old Nikon SLR with some nice lenses on it (at least they were nice when I bought it years ago). I am just wondering if those old SLR lenses will work for a DSLR camera. I am looking at a D5200 and could save alot of money if my old lenses would work.

Any info would be great.
