Leupold Sequoia Spotting Scope 15-45x60 ??

I am in the market for a new Spotter. I would love to fork out the cash for a nice Swaro or other but the funds are limited. I have around $250-300 and I am wondering what everyone thinks of the Leupold Sequoia 15-45 x 60. Is there others in this price range that you like.

the scope is basically garbage. If you go betond 20x it becomes worthless. Go one ebay and see if you can get a leupold gold ring for around $600-650 then you will have something you can actually use

This is true the Sequoia is junk, look at the Nikon's or the Pentax that are in your price range.

Three strikes and it's OUT!

I have one - and as the others state - over 20~25x and it's worthless. I bought one for the same reason as you... and basically wasted $300.00. It's better than nothing, but my next scope will be a Zeiss. Save your money and buy a gold ring or Nikon. The Alpen's are cheap too, but I've never used one - you might check them out.
