Leupold Ultimate Slam scope

For all you fellas w/ this scope, wondering if you've got the 2-7 x 33mm or the 3-9 x 40mm model and if you'd switch from one to the other or keep the one you've got. All my shots will be 200 yds and under but I may practice at the range out to 250 just to see. I was thinking of getting the smaller one initially but I'm kind of leaning toward the 40mm now.

My thoughts would be to go smaller so you can use the BDC on the power you carry it on, not have to remember to crank the power up to use it. I can't see carrying a muzzleloader set on anything like 9X. Just my thoughts...
