I haven't seen much good or bad about these scopes. I just picked up a used one in excellent shape (still in box). It is a 56mm Obj. in 3.5x10 power. I was very impressed with it's light gathering. I am thinking of sending it in to have a B&C type reticle installed, then putting it on my 300 ultra mag. I have a 4.5x14 power with 40mm Obj. Leupold on it now. Opinions please. The lower power is what I'am having problems selling myself on. I am quite capable of shooting 500 yds. now but have trouble in low light. (deer in oak brush at last light)

If low light is your concern I'd say do the switch. 10x is plenty to shoot deer with at 500. But if your still nervous about it take the 4.5x14, turn it down to 10 & shoot at 500 to see if it will work for you.
