For those hunting the Colorado second season, a few words of advice. we found the elk all up high, crossing ridges, and heard many bulls still bugling! the weather was cold and clear most of the time, (in the Northern/Western Mtns.) with the occasional snow shower that dropped only a bit of snow, (but was still nice)!
we harvested 6 elk, three bulls and three cows, all shot on public land and completely unguided...scouting helps success, as we found out this year during limited draw elk! good luck to all and be safe in the pursuit for your trophy!
