Looking for help for a kid's first harvest (deer 47-2)

We put in my 12 year old son and his buddy for the 47-2 deer late season buck hunt. Low and behold my son's friend drew. We will be taking the week of Thanksgiving to hunt. This young man has never killed a big game animal but he is extremely athletic and can hike with the best of us. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Current plan is to consider using a guide. Anyone have recomendations?

The guy at House creek ranch is Steve Aslett and he guides. I don't think anyone else does but I might be wrong.
