...and back on the 2012 hunting season. So in the doldrums of Spring I thought I'd share some pics of my Wyo hunting adventures from the year past.
Antelope season brought expectedly pretty fall colors.
And my first goat buck. Just a little guy, but he made some great chorizo.
Then came a quick deer trip: lots of does + a few little bucks = tag soup.
This picture of my buddy glassing pretty much sums up that weekend.
Next: my first elk hunt. Many wapiti did I see.
The snowstorm that pancaked my REI Kingdom 6 didn't phase me, save for a few obscenities and cold nights.
Because it's tough to get too mad when you're outdoors enjoying awe inspiring scenery.
I never could find a bull that measured up to my standard. So I brought home a tender, tasty cow to fill the freezer.
That was my 2012 hunting season: no big horns, lots of good meat, and more great memories. If I can do that again this year, I'll be happy.
P.S. Feel free to post pics from your 2012 Wyo adventures as replies.
P.P.S. Kudos to REI for replacing the tent no questions asked.
