looking to hunt loins in western nevada

I have a friend that has a lion tag this year and due to time constraints will only be able to hunt in the Reno, to gardnerville area. i was wondering if anyone has harvested a loin in these area in recent years. it has been quite a few years since i have seen one in this area but i havent been hunting them either. any help would be great.-
