Manitoba Black Bear

Ok so he's no muley but I figured since we're not seeing many kill pics this time of year I'd post him up. Spent a total of 20 hours on stand in Southern Manitoba and saw a 21 different bears. This guy gave me a shot I couldn't pass up. 15 yards, arm forward in the barrel...if only they could all be that way. He made it about 30 yards after the hit. If you guys ever have the chance to chase these critters I'd recommend it...a real good time!

You know I haven't even done any measurements yet...the only thing I know is that he weighed 254 lbs. The hide's on it's way to be tanned now, so I'll have to wait to square him out, but I need to measure the skull. Hopefully over 18". Thanks for the congrats.

Was it this spring that you hunted, He got a great looking coat looks like he will square out pretty good.
