My buddy and I were drawn for the Marbles elk hunt and it has been tough. When those Rosies aren't talking they are difficult...I'm sure you Washington/Oregon guys can attest to that. The bull that I ended up killing has been the only bull I saw...and that was at 9:15 on opening morning; wish I had been packing my bow since my shot was at 26 yards!
Back in town to re-supply and then head back up north. I hear that they don't get really fired up until about the third weekend of September and the season closes this Saturday (9/16), so we will just keep hitting it hard hoping to get into them before all of the deer hunters show up this weekend.
Thanks to the board members who gave tips/advice before the season.
