Marmots in Utah

Is it legal to kill marmots in Utah? When I go to and from the area I am scouting for deer I see tons. I thought about taking out my .223 but I don't want to kill anything "endangered". On a side note: I know some of you are thinking "what kind of stupid jackass would shoot his gun right where he is scouting for deer?" Just for clarification, I won't be shooting anywhere near my "honeyhole". I just want to know if I can shoot at the critters or not? Anyone know?

Marmots aka Rock Chucks are legal to shoot in utah and the best thing is there is no limit on the stupid things. when we go shed hunting my brothers and I take our 17's and when it gets to be lunch time we set up and watch for the little suckers and shoot all afternoon at them. maybe thats why i didnt find so many sheds this year.
