It's either 34 or 36. I'm not sure as to which one. Mom took them from the highway between Cloudcroft and Ruidoso.

You are right on the highway. I personally never get over that way. She is using the canon 100-400mm. I am thoroughly pleased so far but it hasn't had the "cookie2" test put to it yet!

Yeah , nice pics ....Watched an elk hunt on tv the other day that was in 34(Mesaclero I think) with the Chrtistian Arms guys...Theses bulls here are gonna still grow some 30 or so inches too... Hey Cookie2, you may still be able to get a deer tag...

Very nice pictures! In their summer coat they look like they have a small neck compared to those big velvet racks! Anyone know if there is a unit 34 youth elk tag available? Keep those pictures coming! I appreciate any suggestions.

The youth tags are all issued through the draw. You'll have to buy a LO tag and those go for 3500 and are not valid during the youth hunt.

Rudeman - There are landowner authorizations which can be used for the youth season as I have had one. What I would like to determine is how many of each type total are available and what landowner has what? I can't tell from the list.

Well, you learn something new everyday! I know what you mean by the list as it only shows MB, cow and either sex archery. Short of calling everyone on the list, I don't know what to tell you.
