It's simple if you think about it. The missle is everywhere except where it isn't. And the missle knows this.

Or you could look at it like this: It is somewhere now where it wasn't but since it knows where it wasn't it can therefore detect where it will not be, so therefore by a process of elimination, it knows where it could not have ever been, limiting its possibilities to one exact location, which of course the missle already knows, which is in an exact line of trajectory from its original point of origin, derived by excluding that location from all the places where it never was to a fixed point, also determined by excluding all the places where it never will be.
