Montana Elk Decoy

I recently bought a Montana Elk Rump Decoy. This rump style wasn't my first choice but I couldn't pass on the price. Has anyone had any good experiences with the rump decoy? I've used the decoy standing broadside and seen it work, but I'm interested to hear if the rump style has the same effect.

I"ve used it in conjunction with another montana cow decoy and had good luck. That rump is real easy to see in the forest, and makes a good 2nd decoy. I've used it alone with success too. when a bull comes in to calling, he's expecting to see a cow, doesn't matter if it's the north or south end of the cow.

Put it up against some brush.... I've seen it spook Elk when it's set out in the open.... Terry
